Funny how he (Ortiz) aint uttered Wilder's name now that Wilder has proven his fitness, and there's enough time for negotiations and drug testing isn't it?
That's all cool, but he still gotta get some names in the ring. The dudes he's been fighting are tomatoes. I think we can all agree on that. Although I like Washington (great story and guy). And yes, I've noticed Ortiz's antics (which why I'd like to see him stopped by Deontay)

Also, I don't think Parker pulled out. There's a video on YouTube of Parker and Deontay in the locker room talking. Deontay kept saying "its your turn to take care of business". I got the impression he was referring to this week's defense.

We'll see what happens. But Bellew seemed to be suggesting a fight with Parker. Couldn't blame him if he took that UK money.

I can agree with you to an extent... but the way he threw that left hand IMO proved he was past it but hes still good.

I can see you're a fan but your enthusiasm is naïve, at best. Wilder has never fought anybody of Wlad's caliber for you to justify that statement. Not even close.

Neither had AJ BTW... but he has now.

Wilder has a solid punch but phhuck all else. His boxing skills are almost completely absent.

Wlad was agile, landed a LOT of leather and was strong enough to put AJ on the floor. There's a lot of talk about him being 41 years old, but from what I saw that only affected his recovery very late on in the fight. Until round 9 he had plenty of stamina, strength, timing, skill, speed and accuracy. I think he would have beat Parker easily and Wilder with less ease but still decisively.

Joshua has been pro for 3 1/2 years and knocked out the most dominant heavyweight of this decade who hasn't been knocked out in 13 years.

Like him or hate him Wilder is the best finisher in the sport, and he doesn't gas. If he had hurt Wlad like Joshua did in the fifth the fight would have ended should Wlad have made it to his feet. Wilder don't waste opportunities like that and he certainly don't gas like Joshua.

No way Wlad makes it past that round if Wilder had him hurt like that.
