GGG vs Jacobs didn't flop. The purses were reasonable for a fight that would sell 200k tops. They made money from that fight, more than what was made for Ward-Kovalev. That was a flop. There was no way to cover Ward's 5 millions purse.

I've said many times that Canelo is the A-side vs GGG, but he needs to give a reasonable split to GGG, like a 30%.

Canelo sells well when he fights big names. Golovkin has never fought one so you can't judge. Canelo vs Liam Smith sold 250k-300k at best... And when Golovkin fought Brook sold more than 500k in the UK, at a different price obviously.
