Did Anthony Joshua really gas out in round 5?

Funny that people are debating it.. He himself said he was tired i.e., meant he gassed.. Combine that with the barrage he took by the end of the round 5 & got KD in 6th.. He took almost 3-4 rounds to get his stamina back & came back by end of 10th & the 11th he pressed the action..

He landed 4 punches each round which were nearly all jabs.. Joshua Clearly won the first 4, maybe I could give Wlad round 1 because at least the output was close but nothing more.

In fact if we did a poll on here i suspect at least 50 50, if not more would have Wlad winning before the 11th.

How a fighter deals with adversity is a true testament to how Good he is. Gassed and hurt he somehow ground a way to by time until he could recuperate. He is a scary scary fighter.

No Lomochenko and Sergey Kovalaev are Scary fighters, Joshua is a scrub that got exposed by a past prime Wlad and got rocked by C level Fighter Dillion White...

I think he was gassed...It seemed to me he had a lot of nervous energy at the very beginning of the fight and that can burn you up a lot more than you think. He also came out hot at the start of the fifth and he was breathing with his mouth open not long after that KD allowing Wlad to come back with great success to close the round and then drop him back the round after.

I support AJ and am happy for his win, do not get me wrong, but it is a little worrying that after being gassed and hurt it took him about four rounds to collect himself. Those rounds Wladimir himself said he took calmly in his stride because he felt he would have success again later. YES, that may be Wlad's mistake in the end, but bottom line AJ was gassed and hurt in there with a man that somewhat foolishly took his time and looked for another chance down the line.

It makes you wonder, could AJ grind it out in a war with someone that can take his power and doesn't bide their time and therefore allow him his second wind a few rounds later?

Joshua came into the fight averaging 3 rnds PER fight . He NEVER went past 7 rnds and only went 7 TWICE . Joshua fought a pretty fast paced with an equally skilled and strong Klitchko whos main advantage is having the ROUNDS of experience and pacing that hes accustomed too bc his body knows what it can do from years of doing rnds..

Joshua not only went past 7 ,but went 11 and was able to jump right on Wlad . This is poor stamina coupled with eating Klitchko punches and a devastating right that he ran into, he even weighed 250 and maybe shouldn't of bc hes carrying more weight longer in long fights?

Really common sense runs away from these threads most of the time, stamina and better ability to judge punch counts you throw comes WITH experience ITSELF ,in just 19 fights Joshua is ahead of the game by FAR!
