Unlike some fighters (who say they want to fight the best only to somehow never face the guys they name) Wilder has actually tried and even signed to fight good opponents.
Two (Povetkin and Wawrzyk) have failed drug tests.
One (Glazkov) opted to fight for a vacated title and lost due to an injury.
And he does have a few respectable names on his resume, though none quite where Wlad (even at 41) is.
Wilder has definitely fought decent, if not spectacular heavyweights and tried to fight even better ones.
Bottom line tho is he must step it up in his next fights.
That means Parker, Fury, Ortiz, or AJ...preferably all of them at some point.
And the others should be thinking the same.
