The duck is coming soon lol they'll offer Golovkin 10 million this time, drag it out in the press, then fight BJS in the fall.

so now we are supposed to be surprised? it was clear that canelo was gonna go after saunders before GGG gets to him first, now he doesn't even have to do that seems GGG passed on that fight and saunders is fighting mini mike

No one from GGG camp has denied it that's the only proof I need. Oscar said the offer was 8 figures and loeffler GGG promoter said publically he did receive the offer from oscar. They refused to accept it were asking for more money. If he was guaranteed 15 or even 10 mil he should of acceptrwd it right on the spot. They priced themselves out and saw GGG stock drop after the Jacobs fight. Whatever you idiots thought GGG was worth before the fight its less now. Had idiots saying 15m was a low ball offer months ago. He aint getting 15m now. That's what happens when you have amateurs advising a fighter. You make bad decisions like pricing yourself out fights. Now GGG has no options but to bend over and take whatever canelo offers.

Who's fault is it that GGG backed out the saunders fight? Or that GGG turned down a fortune when golden boy sent them a offer for the canelo fight? Stop blaming anyone else but K2 for bone head decisions. If canelo beats chavez just take whatever golden boy offers and the fight happens in sept. If he complains, refuses to sign the offer on the table then canelo has plenty of options while GGG is left in the cold. This bed was made by K2.

My understanding was that he would be offered a flat number without any participation in the PPV revenue.

That would be dumb. The fight is a million buy rate fight at this stage, could go close to 2 (let's see what numbers Jr. do)

You gotta get a piece of that pie. This is likely the end of the road for the old man after he unifies.

Saunders at 100% outboxes Canelo over 12 rounds and gets robbed. Not sure Saunders even takes the game seriously now though.

I'm not so sure it's even smart to do it in September from a financial view.

Upsetting fans by letting it "marinate" worked remarkably for Mayweather - Pacquiao (I still think they conspired on the stalling; both made an extra 150 - 300 million in earnings doing this). I think Oscar is very conscious of that. Obviously GGG isn't making the money Manny was, but Canelo is milking the game w/ his **** fights. (2 of the last 3).

Obviously it sucks for us b/c we want the fight, but I get why they're stalling from a financial perspective. Not that I think Canelo can bet GGG though.

But stalling could take the fight from 900k - 1 million buys, to 1.2 - 2 million buys. GGG can only get more popular (which is the key here to building the buy rate)
Oscar will say "look at Canelo-Chavez PPV buys and look at GGG-Jacobs". GGG and company have no leverage to sneeze at 10 mil. Didn't they pull the numbers excuse with Lara and Ward? No it's their turn to hear it.

True, but if Canelo does 1mil tho weekend, it's gonna be tough at the table for GGG after 160 or whatever PPVs and it'll also prove that Canelo doesn't need GGG to produce big numbers as son have indicated.
