I guess this is Golden Boy's obligatory GGG pre-fight name drop. They gotta keep stringing the public along so we care about Canelo's career. If the fight isn't made for September, GGG needs to move on for good. I'm losing interest in both guys TBH.

how is Chavez at 164 different than Ward at 164 ?

take all the time you need
The only difference is Ward is top dog. Didnt Ward make Dawson come down from 175 to 168? yet GGG does it it's wrong only 4 pounds not a whole division.

Canelo will be a genuine middleweight when he undertakes a training camp specifically designed to prepare him to weigh in at 160, in order to fight a middleweight opponent

he became a middleweight when he announced the Jnr fight imho, because he won't weigh much more than 160 and he also announced his intention to move up to MW

last time out Canelo weighed 154, which is JMW

he was a fat lazy entitled diva, NOT a middleweight

you can't make that stuff up man
Anything above 154 and below 160 is Middleweight. That's why Canelo fought against Cotto at 155 for the WBC Middleweight Title. Now he will fight Jr at 164.5 which Super Middleweight.

This coming from the SAME GGGTards who said Brook is really a MW. Somehow he belonged at 160 after fighting his entire CAREER at 147.

Canelo last fought on a SCALE 154. Took a CW for 164 =10 lbs difference.

          Brook 147 to 160 = 13 lbs.

          GGG 160 to Ward 164 = 4 lbs.

          GGG small DOE!!!

Dawson unlike GGG kept HIS WORD...

Dawson said AND suggested the 168 fight and did it.

GGG said anyone from 154-168.. Then back peddled faster than Lance Armstrong.

thats what i've been saying. dawson offered to fight ward at 168 - ward said yes. no drama here.

side note, you have to respect dawson, first person to beat hopkins clearly in like 20 years and instead of taking tune ups he drops down to willingly fight ward. he lost but i dunno why people **** on him all the time. i have the utmost respect for what he tried to do. he tried for for legendary status and came up short, nothing wrong with that. he still beat hopkins and was a lineal champion.

Me too. No interest anymore. Its all publicity to keep Canelo's name in the limelight. Actually good marketing strategy on GB's part. Annoying but good tactic.
