You can't twist it thius way.
That's like saying g Ali was nearer his PRI e than Larry Holmes when they fought.
You aren't near your prime after 60 fights. All wkad had was experience over josh.
To In sinuate josh isn't anywhere near his PRIme cannot be poriven. Josh needs to improve but nobody knows if he will. For all we know josh may never be the same after wlad fight.

He had more heart in this fight than he's had in all his fights, but the tools were rusty. If he was as sharp as he was in the 00s AJ wouldn't have made it in the 6th.

Wlad was still losing to journeymen 45 fights in. His styles have changed throughout the years, this being the best.

AJ has 10 years of amateur and pro experience, it was barely 6 years ago he was getting stopped in the amateurs.

Wlad has 30 years of experience, that's pretty significant, he's learned a lot about himself and gained all sorts of intangibles over the years.

It was experience which kept Wlad in the fight and AJ's lack of it. He was dominating Wlad for the 1st 5, but wasn't pacing himself properly and got ****y after the knockdown. I guarantee you that will stay in his mind forever and he won't repeat those same rookie mistakes.

Physically probably 80%. He's not completely shot because like Hopkins, he's always taken care of his body, doesn't get fat between fights or eat junk. He will age well.

However I think he was intentionally less cautious than usual because he'd already lost his belts to Fury, has nothing left to accomplish in the sport and just wanted to do some fan service. That was a big visible factor to me. There were times the most dominant Wlad -- lets say early 30s -- would have fought a much more boring fight but probably won it.

The Klitschko who fought Samuel Peter the first time, would've got throttled by Anthony Joshua.
                  Completely disagree with this.

It's ridiculous to think that Klitschko is still at his peak / in his prime. At 41 years old a fighter doesn't have the same reflexes and stamina that they have at 30. Watch and see what AJ and Wilder look like at 41 years old....that will clear this confusion up pretty handily.

Prime experience perhaps, but physically you can't do in your 40s what you did 10 years before.

That said, the fight was there for Wladimir to win. He reverted to type and became over-cautious instead of setting about Joshua when he had him on ***** street. That's the thing that will stop him from retiring.

Look, I have insulted Wlad plenty in the past. Stylistically, he isn't my cup of tea, but I have nothing but respect for him after that fight. He showed fighting spirit that I never thought he had.
