Exactly. Canelo puts a street-fight beating on a guy that WAS IDK 50+ pounds lighter than him and way shorter? And he says he is a "good role model" yeah right. Not to mention how utterly pathetic he looked "challenging" GGG when he KO'd way smaller Khan, and then backing down like a complete coward. “Like we say in Mexico, we don’t f--k around," "I don’t fear anyone.” He said this addressing it to GGG in the audience, but instead of fighting him, he goes on to fight small Liam Smith and now super-bum Chavez Jr. PATHETIC.
And Chavez Jr., don't even get me started. He is just a big guy son of a boxing legend, with some limited boxing capabilities, zero dedication and zero heart.
Bottom line THEY ARE BOTH PATHETIC AS "ROLE MODELS," both in real life --Canelo beating up a tiny guy in the street, for women's romance issues, what a cowardly bully; and Chavez Jr. being a total mess, doing drugs, partying, neglecting training,-- and as sportsmen --both of them almost always fighting smaller guys, speaking too much, delivering too little--.
It's hard to root for any of these two unlikable guys. Too bad Mikey Garcia is a Mexican American who resides in the US and therefore fights as an American. To me he is easily the best Mexican-blooded fighter today, way too good compared to these two.
But I think it will still be entertaining, as long as Chavez Jr. doesn't quit on the stool again, that is.Last edited by sterilizer; 05-04-2017, 04:19 AM.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.
I think you're taking it as some kind of slight toward Mexicans when I say it. It's not. I live in AZ where 1/3 the population is hispanic. The guys who got me into boxing were illegals who used to invite me to hang out and watch DHL fights. I'm cool with Mexican pride and culture. It's just always been interesting to me how boxing has the "more mexican" angle because I grew up in a different culture that didn't have that sense of pride.

I'm getting bored of proving you wrong but I can tell you have the need to get in the last word so have at it.
