    cause he'd lose to anyone half decent, like he has in almost 10 years since fighting mosley.

        because he would lose.. 154 is full of hungry young killers without names or big followings.. cotto doesnt want to let one of them make a name for themselves by beating him up while he has little to gain even if he were to pull it off.

            Why should he? Not only has he been through it all and is on his way out, he's not even a titleholder.

            Seriously, why would he be expected to fight a specific fighter when he doesn't have a mandatory challenger?

            That goes for anyone with a name who's not currently holding a belt.
