Barely 6 years ago AJ was stopped by a 5'11 midget

In the amateurs, it's crazy how fast he's progressed. Barely boxing for 10 years taking on and destroying guys like Wlad with 30 years of experience.

For comparison Wlad with 13 years was still getting his ass beat by Sanders and Brewster.

He made some huge rookie mistakes which a vet like Wlad was able to capitalize on but once he recovered he blew him out.

He's probably around 3-5 years away from his peak, but that's if he can get past Wilder whom is still steadily improving. Props to AJ, I look forward to seeing a future bout with these monsters that are coming up in the division. They're leaving the previous era in the dust.

Yeah, It's crazy to think he only began boxing in 2007.

I think people need to chill with the Joshua hype. He put on a very good performance against an ATG heavyweight, but he also got knocked down and badly hurt. Wlad still has flaws that other heavies don't have. If Wilder hurts Joshua like that I'm not sure Joshua makes it.

I can easily see Joshua losing soon.

He's gonna continue getting better and he took in a lot of experience with that last fight to give him the mental edge over any hw.

For this HW division, yes. This is the guy that stopped him:

Really soft around the mid section, looks like a blown up light heavy.

Nobody is saying he's perfect. Simply giving him props for being able to accomplish so much in a pretty short period of time.

You're right about that, Wilder can definitely hurt Joshua. The same for Wilder as well, Joshua can hurt him bad too.

The difference between the two at this point right now is that Joshua is technically more sound and skillful than Wilder. Wilder needs to shore up his technical flaws and deficiencies. If they both fought today with the way they both are right now. I would put my money on Joshua. Only because his technical soundness will allow him to likely get that big shot in first before Wilder gets his big shot in.
