After the KD there were no hard punches....punches which because he was leaning against the ropes looked like they were pushing his head back....NO they were all on arms and elbows...Wlad was LEANING BACK. Wlad is just too classy to bring it up, he's hinted that the stoppage was premature but he's a gent and doesn't whine like other fighters (Pac, Jacobs..)
So looking back at the Klitscko stoppage it looked very premature to me

Amen, bro...it's not a stretch to say Wlad could have turned on all gears and went beast mode in the 12 and took him out or at least lost/won a close decision. He was fully alert, was bouncing on his legs and looked fresher than AJ....to just stop it like that when he wasn't hurt or glazed looking or stunned denied him a great ending to his career....a decision loss would have been fairer than this big cop out. But that's ****ing England for ya.Comment

it was a good stoppage. he gave klitschko countless chances to show him something and he never did.
he kept getting hurt and dropped throughout the round and when the ref stopped it he wasnt intelligently defending himself.
it was just a matter of time before joshua finished him off with a crushing KO, which was uncalled for. anyone who knows boxing could see it was over.Comment

Nobody knows what would have happened had it noit been stopped.
But the stoppage was precautionary measure to stop what ref feared might happen.
We don't know ewhat would happen but that's what refs paid for.
It was a good stoppage to allow wlad to beat josh in rematchLast edited by hugh grant; 05-02-2017, 04:51 PM.Comment

That's why it's called "Looking Back". All of you Monday Morning Quarterbacks need to realize that those blocked punches were still connecting to him. This **** is not an X, circle or triangle button.Comment

he had already made an epic comeback. i have no problem with the stoppage, though i wouldn't have stopped it then.
they both took freakish punishment in that fight. wladimir actually showed a much better chin than i would have expected. joshua, too. both guys came in shape and gave it 100%. klitschko can fight again if he wants to. can't guarantee that if he's allowed to take any more punishment tan he took.Comment

So it's the 11th round, Klitschko is tired as hell, he gets nailed with a vicious uppercut, which hurts him enough to set up two knock downs. He then gets forced to the ropes, where AJ commences to pummeling him to the body and head. Wlad can only try to duck and dodge, but is unable to throw a single shot back. And you clowns are saying that the stoppage was premature??

It was a good stoppage. But I think some people get confused as fkloiyd was on ropes being used as punch bag again st maidana and pac, not throwing back.
But Floyd didn't get knocked down twice so different comptextComment
