Will Canelo be "EXPOSED" when Chaves hits him hard??

Let's get this out of the way... Even those of us who think Canelo TKOs him easy know that Chavez IS going to catch Canelo at least a few times and they're going to be hard punches. Jr was clowned by Sergio for 11 rounds and STILL had the ability to drop him. It's unrealistic to think that a JMW is going to fight Chavez and not at least get stunned or wobbled at some point.

So, if that happens, but he still comes away with a fairly dominant win, is it fair to say Canelo is "exposed"? How much are we expecting of Canelo before we say he looked bad here?

Chaves is tough, any victory for Canelo is respectable.

As long as he doesn't struggle too much, he's not exposed.

If he gets hurt at any point, I think he was exposed.

I'm going to post a "Canelo Was Exposed" thread so soon as the fight is over.

Exposed how? He has taken on solid punchers and has shown a suspect chin (Jose cotto) and a nice chin everyone after. If he loses he loses. Oh well

Redd you almost had me there for a second. Saw the thread title and your name and was like "Oh no, not you too", but then read your post and saw where you're going

I seriously doubt we'll see Canelo wobbled here. If that happens my opinion of him will definitely drop a bit. He's kind of too deep into his career to be exposed though. I feel like we already have a good gauge of his strengths and weaknesses

I expect Chavez giving it a go for the first 4-5 rounds. Once he realises he can't catch Canelo he will give up and either be stopped or pull out by his corner.

Can't say anything about Canelo being exposed as that depends how Chavez looks. But even best Chavez (so far) is not being Canelo.

To the Canelo haters and GGG fans he will most certainly be "exposed" if he gets rocked by Jr. I'm not a fan of either fighter, so for me, if Chavez catches him and either hurts him or drops him, I say there's no loss of face here. Chavez is a strong kid, and can punch. This will be Canelo's biggest opponent in terms of size, and there is no shame if this turns out to be a life and death close fight.

Now, on that note, if Canelo legit loses to Chavez, I have to raise an eyebrow and wonder where he goes from here. Win, lose or draw I suspect his next two fights will come against Lemieux and Saunders. He will avoid Charlo and wait out GGG until he loses a step or loses a fight.

To be honest, I would like to see Canelo vs. Brook at 154 if Canelo decides MW isn't for him after all.

It's inevitable that come Sunday, this place is going to be full of a certain fanbase screaming about how Canelo was exposed. They're pissed that it happened to Golovkin a month ago (and, I can understand why they're pissed as people went over the top with that and I don't even think he was exposed).

I'd just like to get a feeling for what people are expecting from Canelo here because opinions seem to change quickly after the fight is over.

There's no way in hell the current bum version of Chavez should be able to land clean on Canelo. Dude older, hasn't had a serious fight in 5 years and will be drained. If Canelo gets dropped I'll be absolutely shocked.

And let's stop calling Canelo JMW. Yeah, he's been playing the rehydration game for 10 years since he was a teenager. But dude is huge. He's been rehydrating to MW size since he was 23.

Actually their series depends on it. If Nelo gets rocked once or twice or knocked down, but wins on he cards in a great performance, do you think they wouldn't be able to sell the rematch?! This fight is going to break numbers as is in Mexican ratings. The news papers this week have been flooded with "One Down Another to Go" in favor to the Chavez family as Alvarez's brother just got KO'd...

Only person that's being exposed is Suleiman when he walks out the ring wearing his own belt all salty!!
