This. I'm no fan of premature stoppages either but you just have to look at Geroge Groves last opponent to know wht can happen when one guy gets beat up on.

I also like fights to go on until the guy gets stopped completely but sometimes it's just unnecessary. At Wlad's age there's no point in risking his life.

His legs looked gone after the first knockdown, the second knockdown he wasn't walking straight when he got up and Joshua looked fresh so it was a matter of time until Wlad caught another big shot

I think one of the photos there is photoshopped - one with the elongated neck.

Anyway, Wlad is in good spirits

Leaving London with a feeling everyone's won Saturday night the sport, the fans and even I on respect. Cheers & I'll be back!

I think the huge cheers he got from the Wembley crowd cheered him up, he probably wasn't expecting that on Joshua's turf. I was so glad that happened, he deserved it and despite being a Ukrainian based in Germany he's been quite a big character in British boxing over the last six or so years

Ever since the David Haye fight he's been known about. Of course beating Haye probably didn't hurt his popularity

that was a good stoppage. fights are stopped when a fighter cant intelligently defend himself. you say he got up twice, obviously if he didnt get up there would be no choice but to stop it, but in order to get up twice you have to go down twice also.

each time he was hurt badly, in fact he was hurt before the first knockdown too. stunned between them.. if you keep getting hurt and dropped the ref should stop the fight as soon as you are not intelligently defending yourself.

wlad was on the ropes, not clinching or punching back, just laying on the ropes. it was just a matter of time before he got clocked again. this is factual because he kept getting clocked over and over and now he was doing far less to defend himself.

                great stoppage.
                EXACTLY what I thought.

                great stoppage

It was a instinctive shot thrown at speed. His natural relex led him to throw it I don’t really think he put power behind it, of course his normal punches have natural power behind them but he didn’t throw the uppercut with all his power.
