Odds are that he could had won but his style as late of cruising in a fight interfered. He did looked better in this fight than previous fight because he was well prepared and he had sparred with the man before.
If Klitschko had let his hands go after dropping Joshua does he win the fight?

I think those are poor comparisons to this situation. This was an important point in the fight where Klitschko made a decision that could have won or lost him the fight. Nobody's nose was cut or the bell didn't ring lol. Those were things that happened to occur outside of the fighters decision making process & could be argued as simply lucky or bad luck & outside of the fighters control.
Granted decision making is always happening at many different levels of a fight from the preparation for a fight to decisions made during the fight, but this felt like the defining key decision to what happened in the fight or what could have happened in the fight with a arguably very high probability.Comment

I'm not saying he didn't lose fair & square. And I definitely don't think this Klitschko does much at all different or much if at all better then the Klitschko who fought Fury in 2015. Joshua is a completely different fighter than Fury...obviously based on the entertainment value of those two fights that are probably one of the worst HW title fights I've seen (I think I actually would have it #1) & one of the best HW title fights I've seen.Yea, he would have likely taken the fight. But, part of boxing is your decision making. He made a poor decision and lost the fight. Just like he probably would have smoked Fury if he went in with the mindset that he had on Saturday. But, he didn't, so he lost fair and square.
Both the mind and the body are in there fighting and the fight can be lost if either makes a mistake.
But yea I think there was a much higher chance Klitschko wins if he'd have just went Un-Klitschko & took a risk in that 6th round. That said I definitely think it very well could have been a Joshua KO 6 result too cuz I don't believe Klitschko was fully recovered from the last round & Joshua was throwing sledge hammers even if he was gassed & hurt.Comment

You see different things when you're stood face to face with someone. He did thrown but Joshua was doing a well enough job of evading or blocking. You get cautious of the counter punch after getting to greedy and I'm guessing he had his mind focused on the latter rounds.Comment

I'm actually split on this, I can see what you're saying & in most cases it would've ended the fight, I feel like Wlad was also feeling the pace & Joshua would have held on if he went for the barrage, Wlad did throw a fair few shots at Joshua after the KD and missed wide with that left hook time and time again which takes it out of you more than landing a shot does, I think he then decided to recoup some energy & pick the guy apart which is usually the smart option, he possible could've stopped it depending on how the barrage happened and if Joshua could keep holding and keep sapping Wlad's energyComment

I think he did try to land more. Joshua was just kind of slipping shots and klitschko still had to be cautious not to get countered. I think the bigger mistake was letting joshua recover the next couple of rounds, he was still winning them but i think he should have been more aggressive and tried to punish him more. He let joshua gain steam.Comment

Wlad wasn't throwing combinations.
he was throwing straight 1-2's. easiest punches to dodge when you have your hands down.
if Wlad would've comboed with hooks to head and body, he would've gotten Joshua outta there.
Wlad just can't throw hooks to save his life. He's like Kovalev.Comment

You know, the reason Wlad neutralized David Haye and won their fight was mainly due to Manny Steward jumping on Wlad in the early rounds for not letting his hands go. Haye had a great gameplan that was going to make for a close fight (in my opinion), but he was unable to execute because he wasn't counting on Wladimir throwing that many punches. He never got the chance to get sent and land those round-stealing shots.
Wlad didn't have someone screaming at him to stop waiting and let his hands go. He had Joshua hurt, but played it safe and chose to wait for another perfect shot. No way Manny lets that shit play out that way.
Even though that WAS six years ago, I think a Wladimir Klitschko with Manny Steward in his corner stops Joshua.Comment

If wlad had the short range hook in his arsenal he would be amazing. I don't understand, that punch was open all fightJoshua was like Corey Sanders vs Vitali. Stood straight up. he was so done he was stretched out with head leaning back.
Vitali walked straight up with a barrage of hooks to the head and body ..... forced the stoppage.
I don't understand why Wlad can't throw short range hooks. put your head on Joshua's chest and just dig into the body and head.
he physically can't do it.Comment
