You made no mention of Chavez Sr. De la Hoya, or even Pacquiao.
Tbh Chavez Sr. was never a PPV star or a cultural obession outside of the Latino community.

De La Hoya was as big as any fighter ever. Real box office fighter.

It's tougher with Pacquiao. A lot of his interest was generated due to his supposed threat to Floyd. He's more comparable to Holyfield and Lewis imo. I think his sporadic PPV numbers show that.

The part where he spoke of building Joshua's name in the US with a couple fights.... This could take forever.

I thought he would but CANELO gave up his belt to avoid lil g so he dropped the ball on that. If he had beaten lil g then he would be crowned no.1 but his heart pumped cool aid!!!

I think he's actually losing supporters the longer he stalls GGG. He's yet to crank 1 million PPV buys, and it took a legend in Cotto to get him close (900k). He's not there yet. But it is impressive to pull 300k buys with the likes of Angulo, Lara, and Smith. He just hasn't transcended the sport yet.

I couldn't disagree more! He just knocked KLIT out. Its time to move on to new challenges like undefeated WILDER or even FURY.

The wild card is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones!
