Haha the undercard was pretty shít, I just didn't want to miss them because knowing my luck there would've been an absolute war.

We just ended up getting 2 pints at a time & there was a bar right next to us so it wasn't too bad.

You could feel the nervous tension in there though especially around 5-7 when Joshua looked like he was gonna go aha

Boxers start to go down hill physically when they pass 30 years old. That is true today and it has always been true. Boxers of today are no better or worse overall than the boxers of 20 years ago. This no new era of better boxers. Guys like Hopkins are losing to good young boxers because they are very old. That's no big surprise. In the long history of boxing good young boxers have always eventually beat good old boxers who stayed in boxing too long. That is just the way it is, was, and always will be. There is nothing outstanding about the boxers of today. We have lots of good boxers and a few potentially great boxers. As I said the overall quality of today's boxers is about the same as it was 10, 20 or 30 years ago. Pacquiao and Mayweather will be irrelevant when they no longer make huge amounts of money every time they fight. They aren't in their prime but Pacquiao is still beating the hell out of top contenders and welterweight champions like Bradley and Vargas. I would pick Pacquiao to beat Crawford. Pacquiao makes a lot more money than Crawford per fight so he is not irrelevant.

Agreed, the past few years when all the top guys were retiring, getting old. We've been in a bit of a limbo, now we're getting the new wave of champions & challengers and it seems quite deep In terms of numbers of guys coming through.

This is going to be an important year for boxing, it already has been. I'd go as far to say that the first few months have been better than the whole of 2016 so far & we've got exciting fights to come

These mfers you listed need to step the f#ck up more cuz besides Joshua & Canelo the rest of these cats haven't seemed to be able to capture fans imagination all that much & their own upside depends on them doing just that sooner rather than later.

you forgot the main man GGG!..... but yeah i almost did a thread earlier saying how great this year has been and is shaping up to be for boxing. The talent is there, and its great to see heavyweight heating up again, although wlads a class act, his era of dominance killed most the interest in that division for a long time.

Look I think the world of Wlad, Manny, BHop, and even Floyd, but these guys carried a very weak era in the sport. Floyd and Wlad moving off the stage is and will continue to do wonders for boxing.
