State of Japanese Boxing Naoya Inoue/Yamanaka

Two names that come off the top of my head are Naoya Inoue WBO Super Flyweight Champion & Shinsuke Yamanaka WBC Bantamweight Champion. I want to see the Japanese fighting the top contenders in the world. Im confused on why they don't fight top names more. Can anyone share any insight? What Japanese boxers do you like right now? Who do you want to see them fight?

I was talking to techliam about Japanese boxing not long ago and he said it has died out somewhat over there.

Japan has a big market for Boxing and its fighters make plenty of money on their land. Unlike other foreign fighters, japanese fighters arent eager to come to America for this reason.

            Naoya is a beast!!!

Japanese boxers can make good coin domestically. Japan draws many fighters from nearby countries for that reason, much like how the US, UK, and Germany are commercial boxing centers for the West.

Still, I'd like to see Inoue fight in the US, maybe in a ShowTime card. He's a young mini-beast who can bring it.

Kyotaro. Number 13 one the WBO's top 15 HWs in the world.

I know he's not very good, and he's no chance in hell against guys like Wilder, Joshua, Fury, and Parker, but I've been watching this dude since he was in K-1. Back when Dream was around and K-1 was doing cross promotion stuff. Alistair was fighting Aerts was fighting, Remy ****ing Bonjasky was still active and good. Fujimoto surprised and impressed me. Ever since then I've followed his career as closely as an english speaker can. He's got that real hardcore heart and stoicism the world loves about Japan, and sometimes it get him through some really tough jams.

                Cool thread.
