Comments Thread For: Joshua: I Learned That I Can Definitely Knock Out Any Opponent

Anthony Joshua insisted he would cherish the memories of his remarkable defeat of Wladimir Klitschko - but that victory did not top winning his Olympic gold medal. The 27-year-old added the WBA, IBO heavyweight titles to his IBF belt after recovering from the first knockdown of his career to eventually stop Klitschko in 11 rounds at Wembley Stadium.

He might be right in general but i'm not sure how knocking Wlad out makes him come to that conclusion though.

Don't get me wrong, Joshua did a great job in the end and credit to him but it's not like he's knocked a guy out that has never been stopped or hurt before.

He's a beast. Rest up young champ while the others get in position. The wolves are circling.

I think he has enough ability and skill to beat Wilder just needs to watch out for that right hand he seems like a very likeable guy ...I hope he has a good Championship run...

Around here, stopping guys that have never been stopped is meaningless. Thus why Errol Spence gets no credit despite stopping 6 guys in the span of a year and half, all of which hadn't been stopped before meeting him. Yet he gets zero credit for that achievement.

What a fight.. What a ****ing fight. I lost my voice, cheered for AJ the switched and cheered for Vlad as I thought AJ has had it.. Then what a finisher! OMG.. This is why I love boxing.

I was skeptical of this fight.. Thought it would he another boring hug fest but daymmmmm! It's not often a boxing match of this magnitude lives up to the hype. Boxing fans are the winners and those complaining about anything in this fight need to appreciate what an amazing fight this was.. Years down the line this will be replayed as one of the greatest HW fights!

In the sports bar where I watched the fight.. The whole place was packed out and after the fight we all got up, jumped up and down and hugged the random people next to us. Never ever been in an atmosphere like that.. Hopefully we have more boxing matches like this in the future.

Joshua just KOed one of the best HWs ever. Old or not, Wlad came to win and gave it his best. Props to both boxers for a great fight. Not everyone could of taken the shots Wlad put on Joshua.

Wonder what that heavy knockdown Jousha suffered would have done for his future punch resistance.

He took like 3 rounds to recover,

i know we had heard was knocked down in sparring, so there were always questions about his chin, it can be broken thats for sure

Wlad isnt the only boxer that hits hard

i think the heavy punchers will take great confidence in seeing Jousha hit the canvas

Just go and watch the finish....the fitness and speed that joshua exploded with in the 11th round was super human.
Watch him as he cut the ring off as he searched for the finish , a 6ft 6inch 250lb fighter who has every punch in the book and not many fighters can bring in that uppercut in the championship rounds ..that is world class.
And the 2nd knockdown in the 11th round was a 5 punch combination where every shot landed and that included an uppercut.....only boxers and experts of the sport will know how difficult that punch is to perfect in a combination and in the 11th round....unbelievable.
Klitchcko was amazing and deserves all the praise in the world for his performance.
