Maidana: No doubt in my mind that Chavez Jr will beat Canelo.

No doubt in my mind that Chavez Jr will beat Canelo. I see him more humble and with hunger for glory. That's fundamental to win the important fights.

Full article in Spanish, where he speaks about how he is 100% retired and wouldn't even come back for a super fight:

I think Chavez Jr will be a slow zombie on fight night. He will really struggle to make weight. I'm not picking anyone but the mind says Canelo should win. It could even be a TKO2 or TKO3 for Canelo.

Chavez size makes it even more tough on Nelo, Nelo aint none much special, better than Chavez but nothing great

I can see Chavez put a good fight, or Nelo decision schooling like he did Perro Angulo

At 168 you might be right. At 164.5 Chavez Jr will be near death at the weight in. He will just be taller, no more than that. He lost muscle, he's a skinny guy trying to make weight more than training boxing.

Dude must have made some good investments if he's 100% retired.

A lot of picks for Chavez come from a disdain of Canelo.

I don't like Canelo but there's no doubt in my mind that he's way better than Chavez Jr. and he will soundly beat him.

Even if Chavez makes weight well, he's so slow, basic, and easy for a fighter with Chavez's skills to **** away at that I can't see him winning. Not unless the ginger's punches literally feel like feathers and Chavez can walk through them.
