Comments Thread For: Klitschko Won't Reveal if He Plans To Execute Rematch Clause

Wladimir Klitschko will not reveal if he intends to execute an immediate rematch clause to face Anthony Joshua last this year. On Saturday night, in front of a record crowd of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium in London, Joshua stopped Klitschko in the eleventh round to retain his IBF title and added the World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) belts to his collection.

Do it. Heavyweight boxing needs more fights like the First.

He should just call it a career, very few fighters get to make $20M at the age of 41. He fought well and likely helped his legacy with this performance.

... It's difficult to take a decision with this respect.

Wlad got badly floored three times and he finished overwhelmed on the ropes...

... in addition: it was the biggest boxing event in the UK since the WWII... the rematch won't get the same public interest... Instead, a Joshua vs Wilder match at the Wembley Stadium would do even better.

The guy is 41 years old, that was probably the most difficult fight of his career. It's not a decision you take likely, I think his brother and wife will advise him to call it a day. He's had one hell of a career and has nothing left to prove.

However, there is not a single boxing fan on the planet who would be disappointed if he did activate the rematch clause
