  • Watched the highlights. Decent fight but all Joshua did was get hit all night and he even went down and ran out of gas in one round. This is all from a 41 year old Klitshcko. Wasnt domination at all and Joshua easily could have been the one KOd. Fury takes Joshua's head off with jabs and short hooks all night while Joshua punches himself out

    • Wilder the great usa hopelessness

Great fight for a 41 year old with 60 fights against a young lion in his home country.....Even a partially shot Wlad would have knocked Wilder out easy today.

Wilder and his sycophant followers are the laughingstock of boxing. The two men in there today didbt even acknowledge the farce from usa which was testament to their knowledge of how protected he is.

The only champion Wilder is truly is that of a ****** champion. No class, no heart and no honor. Perfect criteria to represent todays usa ******.

        • Glad Aj won he showed heart and he's the better fighter for the division but he went life n death with a 41 yr old man.

Luis ortiz would never let Joshua off the hook and he's clearly more skilled than both Aj and klitcko.

          Overall fun fight though.

            • Their limitations made this a great fight.

              • Nice win for Joshua, he had big problems in the 6th but he recovered and should have learned a lot from this fight. I think he should lose a few pounds of muscle, hes getting to big. 10 pounds lighter and his stamina would be better and he would be even faster. But im sure Joshua gets better anyway.

How did you come to that inclusion gypsy king would not last two rounds with AJ if he is allowed back in a ring again.

" After all the hoopla about what was supposed to have been an exciting contest between IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) and #1 WBO Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) last Saturday night, the results of the fight were less than earth shattering. Fury won the fight by a very dull 12 round unanimous decision without even landing 100 punches.

It’s unheard of for a fighter to land less than 100 punches in a 12 round fight, but Fury actually did there. The amount of punches landed from both fighters was a complete and utter embarrassment. If you had the chance to listen to the HBO talking heads complain about the lack of action in the fight, then you got some amusement because they were all bellyaching something fierce, and you can’t blame them.

Heck, both Fury and Klitschko fought like they had their eyes closed for the full 12 rounds, as they were whiffing on punches left and right. Wladimir just looked terrified for the full 12 rounds, and showed zero desire to throw any punches even with his older brother Vitali Klitschko trying to give him pep talks in the corner between rounds.

Fury landed only 86 of 371 punches for a connect percentage of 23%, according to CompuBox. "

So while you try to airbrush Gypsy (Junkie) King as a top heavy weight please read the facts.

AJ should of gone to blast him out of there showed him far to much respect but certainly understandable for a relative rookie. If klitschko has any sense he should fight Fury next before an AJ fight I cant see the result be any different other than an earlier knockout.

                    • Amazing fight. It's a shame people on this board cannot appreciate it for what it was. Complaints about how old Wlad is. About how inexperienced AJ is. I mean, seriously? This is boxing, right? Where real champions take on all challengers, especially superhyped prospects like AJ. And in my opinion, AJ is rightfully hyped. The kid showed true grit and heart to get off the floor from an absolutely crushing right cross, that would probably had knocked out the average heavyweight.

Instead of applauding the reinvigoration of the heavyweight division, people are talking *****. smh. The Wlad that fought last night would absolutely beat Tyson Fury and probably give Wilder a good run also.

I'm, anxious to see Wilder vs Joshua though. That will make for a good fight. I see Wilder taking the Stiverne approach and boxing from the outside. His stamina is superior to Joshua's. idk. I'm just happy to see an exciting fight in the heavyweight division again. its been years!!!!
