Spence now a clear favourite over Brook

    http://www.paddypower.com/bet/boxing

I remember the odds were even when this fight was first made, Spence is now a clear 8/11 (1.73) favourite.

Less than a month away now, really looking forward to this fight. One of the most intriguing and exciting welterweight fights in recent years.

He's been a clear favorite since about the first or second week the fight got announced iirc.

I'm surprised its as wide as it is with this fight being a UK guy in the UK where betting is more out in the open & mainstream-ish. Often you see a bit of an inflation or lean towards the UK guy. My assumption is either UK fans don't like or believe in Brook or Spence is actually a even bigger favorite if those usual UK fans have thrown down some money on Brook already & the line is what it is.

Brook gonna make the bookies eat their crow!

Spence has been too use to fighting guys with no power, once his chin gets touched he'll get folded like laundry!

Spence would be a 2 to 1 favorite if the fight was in neutral ground... 3 to 1 in the us...

Brook gonna take a page out of the lesson book that GG thought him- and put a hurting on SPence.

Brook KO 8, and only because he's a GG victim. Something like Spence via brutal destruction is safer, but Brook will take it.

It's not the bookies that always dictate the odds though. The money being placed is what changes the market too and a lot of people are betting thinking that Brook is going to struggle at the weight.

The odds will probably change again come fight night depending on how fighters are looking on fight week.

To me this is about as 50-50 as you can get. Brook is a bit more proven so usually i'd favour him but the weight brings it back to a 50-50 for me.

I'm picking Brook and no excuses should be made about the weight anyway. He chose to fight at 147 and if it does affect him, that's his problem for making the decision.
