Joshua is already a bigger star than Canelo. His PPV's against the likes of Molina do about 500k+ buys.

Just because it's not in USA doesn't make him any less of a star. Also, nobody outside of USA/Mexico care or know Canelo, just like not many outside of UK know about AJ. Canelo is just that ginger mexican that lost to Floyd to most people. Apart from Floyd and Manny, boxing doesn't really have any globally recognised stars and one is retired now and the other is close to it. As much as HBO and Golden Boy might want to tell people Canelo is a superstar, he really isn't.

As the main attraction, Joshua is selling more PPV's and more tickets than Canelo, the numbers don't lie. Maybe Canelo v Chavez will do very well, but that would be similar to Fury v AJ, which would blow it out of the water in my opinion.
