Myself and SBGcharlestown have been working together on unrestricted, unarmed fighting, since we are kids. Not much will change when I fight under the famed, yet very limited, Queensbury rules. No disrespect to single discipline fighters, from boxing to kicking to grappling, just know that understanding one style of fighting is simply not enough. You are lying to yourself. You are easily dismantled in a true fight. A fight with no rules to protect you. In a straight fight, you do not possess enough tools to keep you alive. You will be dismantled and killed. Like the late, great Bruce Lee once said: "When you are talking about fighting, as it is, with no rules, well then baby, you'd better train every part of your body"

Fighting with no rules means sticks,kicks,bites,guns,knives,brass knuckles etc.
Next time he should just stay in his place and keep boxing out his mouth. Hed get ktfo on the streets also he not even the best mma fighter in his sport. -

I don't for the life of me get how knowing more fighting styles somehow makes you a worse fighter then people with less fighting styles like boxing fans love to argue. If I can punch you with both fists, kick you with both feet & elbow the f#ck outta someone I'm a more dangerous mfer than a cat who can only use one of those 3 bodily weapons. And that's just talking about striking. If you know judo, BJJ &/or wrestling that just adds to your arsenal of options for attacking someone in a real fight.
I love boxing more than any combat sport, but its clearly a limited fighting style that doesn't deal at all with many situations you might find yourself in in a street fight.Comment

I don't think he is ******ed at all. He seems very intelligent and witty. He doesn't make Mayweather money but he makes damn good money. He is only 26 years old and he has made a huge success of his life. He is the best in the world at what he does and a hero to an entire country. He sets very high goals for himself and then he achieves his goals. I am a boxing fan first and MMA is a distant second but I admire Connor as a fighter and a man.Comment

Bigger talent pool = better talent. Plain and simple. Our old fighters when done with our sport cross over and dominate your champs. I got tired of this story he's pushing when it was rousey speaking it.
Also, I like how he thinks MMA is streetfighting which is more bullshit. No shoes, nothing dirty and a license to hump dudes for minutes on end. Fuck MMA. Their best fighters are amateur level boxers like the one that wore him down and made him quit. In MMA anything other than a KO punch is boring as fuck.

So obnoxious to hear combat sport athletes and their fans talking about "real fights". These guys are in sport, which is essentially playing a game, with a myriad of rules, officials, doctors, and other safeties set in place. Bruce Lee made a study of combat but to hear an athlete like McGreggor preach about "true fights" is akin to a pro-wrestler like Brock Lesnar talking about method acting.Comment
