Comments Thread For: Klitschko Can't Be Reluctant Or Apathetic Against Joshua

By Keith Idec - Wladimir Klitschko talked again Thursday about being obsessed with winning back three of his heavyweight titles. The former champion claims losing the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO championships to Tyson Fury 17 months ago has made him a different fighter. The complacency that developed during nearly a decade-long reign as the heavyweight division's dominant fighter is gone...

    The article is too harsh.

Klitschko never won "ugly" until the Povetkin fight.

Byrd, Jefferson, Botha, McCline, Brock, Austin, Thompson, Chagaev, etc he defeated with his power and skill.

Joshua by KO as Wlad cannot take a hard shot to the jaw

Joshua will KO weak Jaw Wlad withing 8 rounds. Wlad fought bums for ten years and was hardly ever in a tough fight. Wlad has a very weak jaw and is now an old man who seems scared to engage anymore. Not even an upset if Josh KO's Wlad the commie.

More PR to draw fans in. In my mind this fight is already over. Granted, Klitchko looked slower than his slow self usually does but even a so called prime Klitchko is to slow and doesn'r have the physical size advantage to manhandle Joshua. I expect he'll be in the best shape he can be at 41 come out very hesitantly and try and do his punch , grab and hold against Joshua . It might work for a boring round or two but at some point Joshua will wack him and have him doing the funky chicken as he spirals to the canvas. Klitchko has a lucky punch chance and thats about it. Hope he enjoys his retirement check

By 'ugly' the writer likely means 'boring' fights. Which is Klit's trademark. Jab. Grab. Hold. Lean on. Rinse and repeat.

Wlad bouts were/are really frustrating no doubt, the highlights of his career are when he was KO'ed by Brewster, Sanders, and Purity

Your Lemmy's referance is about Kilmister? probably, "Shine" is one of the most powerful song ever, Iron Fist & Ace of Spades are also great

Agreed on Wlad's 'highlight reel'. And yes, Lemmy of Motorhead, a true legend. Saw em live 3-4 times thru the years, all great. And yes, 'Shine' and that entire album and tour great... Brian Robertson ex-Thin Lizzy on guitars.

                    Here's another great one, from '1916': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jFC1IdShdo
