  • Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz To Joshua: Your Money is No Good, No Step Aside Fee!

Earlier today an article by Elliot Foster ran on BoxingScene.com which stated that WBA President Gilberto J Mendoza may give the Anthony Joshua-Wladimir Klitschko winner a "special permit" to make a voluntary defense before facing mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz (27-0 23 KOs).

Old arse Ortiz can wait his turn. He can stay juicing in the meantime.

I hope this fight happens if Joshua wins, forget Pulev he had his chance last December.

Luis Ortiz sounds confident. But he's making a mistake if he decides not to fight until November that ring rust is real. If you're resting, you're rusting.

Between the IBF and WBA, their both forcing mandatories.

Joshua may need to drop one of these belts eventually. He should drop the WBA belt if he wins Saturday. I mean try to work something out, but if not drop the belt.

Defend against Pulev in the summer to ensure they don't strip that belt and then get the fight with Deontay Wilder made.

The sport of boxing and all the fans deserve to see Joshua-Wilder with both guys undefeated and unifying titles.

Whoever wins from Joshua-Wilder then can fight Ortiz.

But the biggest and best fight to be made in the Heavyweight division is Joshua-Wilder. And we deserve to see that fight ASAP.

Ortiz deserves the title shot against Joshua, but I understand why the WBA would wan't to punish Ortiz since they caught him juicing. I think Hearn will push that agenda onto the WBA and this permit will be granted.

Beating Wlad won't make Joshua the #1 heavyweight but if he can spank Wilder, Parker, and Ortiz he definitely has the claim to the spot

Give the man his shot already!!!

If a Breazeale , Gerald Washington, Chris Arreola , Artur Szpilka etc can get a shot at the title why not Ortiz.

                    I wonder why!!!!
