GGG just isnt the fighter the media and his die hards made him out to be

he is a very good fighter, could be great if he actually takes risks

jacobs deserves a rematch and you same whining crybabies who whined about ward and kov should be upset your hero will swerve his onlu competitive oppponent

We don't know if he's slipping or that's his best because he's never fought anyone. He had a chance to show the world how good he was against Ward and we all know he wanted none of it.

The hardcore GG crowd has decided to jump over to Loma if anything goes wrong so expect them to start resigning GG as past-prime so that no fighters will get any credit for beating him now that Canelo and Charlo are in the division.

He looked bad against Jacobs, he looked bad against Kell Brook, and his fight schedule has fallen off (4 in 2013, 3 in 2014, 3 in 2015, 2 in 2016, likely 2 for 2017).

After facing soft touches for as long as K2 has moved him, his camps see Jacobs having the public case for a rematch, Jermall Charlo coming along, and Saunders/Khurtsidze due for the WBO belt, now the focus is on holding off anything until this possibility of Alvarez giving them a payday (and K2 being cut in on the entire event) is exhausted.

If Alvarez-Chavez Jr ends up being a barnburner, K2 ****s a ****ing log.

It's always easy to look great against tailor made opponents. Or guys a couple levels below you. GGG is a great fighter. Still the best MW in the world. The Jacobs showed he isn't the guy his fans made him out to be. That's all. The media overhyped him, but that's their job. Build him up and when they decide to, they'll tear him down.

Golden Goose Gennady simply finally met his match in The Miracle Man himself, the man who beat death, the man who stood up to Golovkin's best shots, and the first man to see him eye to eye on the same level when the final bell rang!

Danny Jacobs!! Hope we see them at it again, I think Jacobs can win it!

Well lets not be fanboyish or haterish about it as I'm sure this thread will delve into real quick.

Its not unreasonable that a 35 year old fighter has reached his peak & is in the downward trend of his career. Far more of the great fighters we talk about were shot at 35 than were not shot by 35. That's just a fact. So its not crazy that GGG could very well be "slipping". Is he or isn't he? That's the sorta thing you can never realllllllly say til a guy's story is over cuz we just don't got the full perspective to grasp things on that level. So ultimately its all speculation, either way, right now.

marvin hagler retired before he turned 35.

GGG is clearly no longer in his physical prime. he's also had 350 fights.

                  still dominating though.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it may be Sanchez who slipped in that last fight. His gameplan was audible between rounds and he was calling for GG to wait for opportunities that never came. I few times GG broke plans and went for it, he looked great. I don't think Golovkin himself looked less capable, but he was being coached poorly and against an opponent who was playing to his weakness.
