Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua - Is He Really Ready For This?

By Cliff Rold - Before his professional career was even two years old, the question was already floating around: when was Anthony Joshua going to step up.' It's always a good sign for a potential star when the masses start getting impatient almost immediately. That's when the promoters know they have money in the bank, just waiting to be collected...

If he wins, that's a good win. If he loose, then loosing to 41yo inactive Wlad may finish his overhyped career and to regain that popularity he will need to fight another 18 bums.

Joshua looks like he might be the most formidable physical foe of Klitschko’s long career but he’s never been past the seventh round.
If Wlad takes him past 7 he's done for. AJ has no stamina.

All the Wilder fans don't get it yet. This is what has to happen if you want to be great. You have to dare to do it. Risk it all. You can't be 38-0 and still fighting the Washington's and the Arreola's. You have to be going after the Klitschko's and the Parker's. Fortune favors the brave.

I don't think he's ready but he does have the power to get himself out of trouble.

deontayduckus wilderquackus is the scientific name for that species of duck discovered out in the Great State of Alabama ....it is know for quacking at very high decibels...it avoids Ortiz, Klitschko, Joshua and several other fighters....deontayduckus is also a phenomenon because it spews duck poop out of its beak......Great Comment .....Fortune favors the Brave....War Klitschko

Geez, that's a healthy old article but to be honest just two words can sum up Joshua's meteoric rise and opportunity to fight the likes of Wladimir, and that's 'Eddie' and 'Hearn'.

Way too early for him, Eddie Hearn just after a quick pay check.

On paper, there is no chance AJ wins apart from Wlad getting old overnight - and expecting something like that of a consummate professional is low chance.

Wlad wins from pure experience, frustrates AJ and stops him late on (may even let him hang around for a decision).

AJ doesn't have the style to beat Wlad, and definitely not the experience. About 3-4 fights too early.
