Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), indicates that his boxer will not return until at least September, hopefully against the winner of Saturday's fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Canelo vs. Chavez Jr. takes place at the T-Mobile Arena on May 6th, on HBO Pay-Per-View, at a catch-weight of 164.5-pounds.

A they rematch and GGG is left at the altar. He shouldn't wait on that bout, there are no guarantees in this sport

More like that fairytale fight in kaza phuk stan for June fell apart because there is no money. Loeffler made promises to a lot of people based on money from that dirt hole that next existed. Money in kaza phuk stan = 35m in dubai for pacman/khan. LMAO

Well it at least suggests that he is determined to make the fight happen this year.

The money Loeffler counted on doesn't exist so you either fight somebody else on Regular HBO for peanuts or you sit your azz down and wait for the canelo fight so you can make real money not fairy tales lies of 10m in a country nobody cares about. It's never been about the belts he's about the money just like everyone else.

He should of took that 15m offer when it was on the table. If canelo wins his fight he is going to bend GGG over and **** him at the negotiations table. After multiple flops on PPV and no big paydays anywhere else he has to take whatever canelo gives him. Now probably going to make less then what they offered him just months ago.
