If they are serious, I only see this happening if Canelo loses and him and chavez do an immediate rematch. if Cotto beats the japanese dude, it might go down. but bet your ass it will be a catchweight.

While I agree with you the end result would've been the same, it's not like Cotto was going to be forced to fight him anyway just like Canelo. Simply delayed the handing over of the belt by a year and change.Comment

despite talking all that " 154-168 " rubbish..... not only did Golovkin totally refused to negotiate on weight with the 153lb midget SUPERSTAR Cotto..... he then happily accepted step-aside money
Golovkin LITERALLY stepped out of Cotto's way
but his fans blame Cotto LMAOComment

Mr " 154-168 " would refuse to negotiate on weight, AGAIN
his fans would blame Cotto, AGAINComment

Too small, but on paper, Kell Brook is probably a much better win than Miguel Cotto even though some may say Cotto is bigger than Brook. If I'm Golovkin and Cotto is actually willing to fight, I take the match up. You have a bunch of complainers on forums calling it a mismatch but history will see it as a top win over a Hall of Fame fighter and former middleweight champion.
And the pay wouldn't be half-bad.
But Cotto most likely tells Roach to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
It's obvious what the camp is doing, they're waiting on this ****** ass Canelo fight, such a damn waste of time, If Jacobs actually fought in December we could have maybe had GGG fighting sometime soon right now.Comment

I picked Cotto over Sergio. GGG was in a fight against Jacobs but he's still not as shopworn as Cotto because GGG has fought no hopers while Cotto was fighting guys with bogus handwraps or PEDs among other fights that he took punishment in.Comment
