I don't buy this at all. People wanna mistake free speech as saying things without any reprecussions from everyone. That's not how it works at all.

You can say anything you f#cking want, but the people, all of them regardless if the are genuises or dummies, who hear it also can say you're an idiot, racist, hater, selfish, etc and so on. Basically people have their own freedom of speech on your freedom of speech. Freedom of speech isn't some safety net to say anything and keep your reputation intact. If you say the wrong thing it can ruin you and rightfully so most of the time and sometimes even unrightfully so if you are speaking correctly on something but doing do ahead of it's time.

Freedom of speech is just about the government won't kill or imprison you over your words within certain perimeters anyway cuz certainly lying or other crimes involving simply saying something can garner you time in the clink.

While I do watch YT, I don't really do social media nor follow it so I didn't know that. However, what you're saying further reinforces my point that we're leaving in a pansy ass world today. I can't believe that anyone would think of that word as racist, not in the context it was used anyway.

Basically the YT thing boils down to this. Advertisers won't advertise with YT if their stuffs being put where they don't want it, I.E. it was on white power and ISIS recruitment videos....so YT overhauled 100% and said we won't put it on anything with certain tags....it's an overboard reaction, but from a company standpoint I get it.

That's exactly the point I was making. Everyone claims free speech though these days as no matter what you can't get in trouble for your words, which is false. Like I said I don't view it as racist but if people do you can't just claim oh free speech and think there will be no backlash.

Kovalev didn't do anything.

It was a video of a made up text convo between "Kovalev" and "Ward" which was supposed to be funny but "Ward" would say something like 'omg *****' then delete it and send something else. People went around crying claiming it was racist. Maybe someone can pull it up for ya.
