Don't think Joshua said anything about fighting in one place. So no I don't agree with Lewis here. It's obvious Lewis wasn't given the right Joshua comments.

AJ did not rule out fighting overseas. Lewis is confused, then again, that man still thinks its 1999.

I hope AJ comes here at some point, but there's no question where he and Wilder could break the bank.

I think that can't be ignored here. Lewis fought in a time where the money was in the US. There's nothing that compares to what I'm seeing out of the British fan base right now. Mayweather was the only comparable. Maybe Canelo v. Chavez will be a mad house? I hope so.

Times change. Larry Holmes fought exclusively in the US
No, but America is where boxing thrived and where it became mainstream. You can't deny that America has been leading the way in the amount of champions it's produced. Even Calazaghe who fought in the UK his whole career conceded in the end and traveled to the US to fight BHop and RJJ. Not saying AJ has to travel to the US for all his fights, but to say "I don't need to go to US" is not what a champion says especially a HW...if he wants to be a world champion recognised by all.

Yea Joshua came off arrogant like a lot of british fighters do. America is the mecca of boxing and he comes off as a coward who doesn't want to leave his backyard. Why is Joshua so sure british boxing is thriving? Just because the brainless fans as Andy Lee put it will go to any fight. But as far as accomplishments the british have 5 current champs to the US's 12. Yes and that's with Eddie Hearns sneaky matchmaking, dirty referees and judges.

You guys need to get a grip

Ali fought in Africa because a dictator and other foreign en****** put up a massive purse and to Manila for similar reasons

These guys are professionals and go where the cash is

Assuming AJ beats Wlad, he'll go to the US IF there is more money to be made

                  I agree with Joshua.

"Empires crumble. There are no exceptions."

I remember when New Jersey was the boxing mecca. Then New York. Vegas didn't really become a thing until around the early 2k/late 90's-ish and not anywhere near where it is now.

But Vegas is slowly dying off as some fighters are choosing to fight at home instead and Don King is less of a powerhouse than he used to be.

How the hell can the us be the mecca of boxing when your sole hw champion refuses to fight a top 10 contender, nevermind a number 1 contender, and its totally accepted by your people and your tv networks! HW boxing in the us is nothing compared to europe. Europe fills out football stadiums in england and germany. Wilder cant even fill out a college gym hall in alabama. Sorry son but EUROPE is now the mecca of boxing.
