On April 22, 2017, no one looked better than Jermell Charlo!

Wasn't Jermell outboxed for 7 rounds just a fight ago at 154? But you favor "both Charlo brothers" over GGG at 160? Jermell over GGG lol??? Jermell also throws like 10 punches per round. He doesn't have the work rate to outpoint GGG, so you're picking Jermell Charlo to KO GGG at 160 lol?

Sorry but I still got GGG over both of them. Jermall also just went 12 with Austin Trout. Lara dropped Trout he couldn't. Canelo dropped Trout he couldn't. Jermall is similar to Jacobs in many ways, who took advantage of a special early weigh-in to rehydrate to around 185 pounds on fight night. GGG beat that Jacobs. Jermall might not even be able to rehydrate that high without an early weigh in. He also can't switch southpaw. He's also never shown lateral mobility and defense like Jacobs has taken years to learn and showed vs GGG. I don't know if he can copy Jacobs gameplan.

So are we picking Charlo to beat GGG in a war? Because even if GGG has slipped and Jermall has the advantage in speed and power, which speed he probably does but not power, GGG is still the one with the proven chin. Charlo has never been hit by someone like GGG. GGG has absolutely been caught flush by guys like Charlo in Jacobs and Lemieux, who both caught him good.

And hell, how do we know Charlo's defense isn't more like Lemieux? JRoc caught Charlo flush with that right hand over and over. What happens when GGG does that? Jacobs was able to dodge a lot of punches. Can Charlo? He does have the reach, unlike Lemieux, that will trouble GGG, but I kind of see his performance topping out the same as Jacobs did, and probably not as good without the early weigh in which I believe played a big part. You have to pick GGG over both those guys.

BTW Breadman you should clarify your comment about wanting a kid with heart like Porter to come to your gym someday. I know what you meant, but the way you wrote it is probably going to cause problems in your gym, because it reads like you're saying none of the kids you train right now have a big heart, and you can only hope someday you get a kid with heart to train. I think what you meant is Porter just has a super heart and works tirelessly, and you would love to train a kid like that someday, even though the kids you already train also have good heart, just not like Porter...

But see even that would probably piss off a fighter if they read that. So maybe you should explain that one more otherwise I could see JRoc reading that and going "wtf?"

That one comment of yours that heavy betters wait to know whether fighters are on VADA testing is sooooo insightful. Perhaps more so than anything else I have ever read on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!

By inference > PEDS use is waaay more common than is even spoken about. Its literally a plague in the sport rather than just being common. And also by inference >> the other testing organizations aren't worth a damn!!

And the follow-through. This is NOT a sport. IT is just a charade masquerading as a sport. And I'm sure all those HBO and Showtime analysts know exactly what the game is.

          Thank you.

I normally like Bread's insights, but this one was a little tough to swallow. Charlo hasn't even fought once at 160lbs, yet he already beats Golovkin? Thats a bit much. He normally outweighs his opponents by 15 pounds or so. That would not be the case at 160lbs. He also only looked like a world beater in one fight. And it was against Bread's guy, which I'm sure is where this bias comes from. Prior to that he went the distance with a faded Trout and just squeaked by. I do, however, believe these guys are on something. The Charlo from this past weekend looked completely different physically, and all of a sudden has big power. Something seems to be off with these guys...

Simple quote by Bread that calls it how it is, yet Canelo fans refuse to acknowledge on this site. "They avoided the fight and now they have seen slippage so they most likely want it. It’s really that simple. I never thought Canelo was over his head vs GGG. But he gave up a WBC belt just to not fight him and the WBC has been taking care of Canelo for years. If you remember he got to fight and unranked Welterweight in Matthew Hatton at a catchweight for his WBC title at 154lbs."

I have been thinking the same thing about the charlo bros. when they were coming up, they couldn't crack an egg. Now they've both turned into the hitman.

He always had the power, the main difference was that he was too defensive minded under Ronnie Shields. He changed to a more offensive minded trainer (the same trainer as Errol Spence) and has begun to sit more on his punches and increased his work rate, which is why he getting them out of there now.

It's the same for Errol. When Errol turned pro he prefered to box on the outside with his height and reach advantage, and as a result didn't sit down on his punches that much and his body of work was less.

His trainer made him focus more on the body, sit on his punches, and become more offensive, hence the KO streak he's been on.

The Charlos are twins so if the other has power (which he has a lot of, guy KD's people with jabs regularly), then obviously the other twin has power too (even if not as much). He only needed the right trainer to teach him how to use it effectively.

People thinking they on peds coz they improved? Defaq is this? They supposed to improve, they're 26 years old, they bout to reach their prime, their true man strength. Obviously they just gonna get stronger and better until between the ages of 29 and 33 depending on how long their prime lasts.

                    This is normal growth.
