    Comments Thread For: AIBA Backs Away From Amir Khan's SBL After Snafu in India

    The International Boxing Association (AIBA) on Monday withdrew its support to the Amir Khan-promoted Super Boxing League in India after the event failed to get the national federation's backing. The Super Boxing League (SBL) is set to roll out from July 7 to August 12 this year. It will feature eight franchises and each team will comprise six players (five men and one woman with six back-up players per team).

    Why the f#ck would AIBA be putting amateurs or those WSB guys in MMA fights in the first place? Or am I not understanding something with what they were considering or thinking about doing here?

      MMA? I don't think this venture has anything to do with the MMA stuff that Khan is involved in. This was purely a boxing league.
