The veteran out-hustled the youngster in the first fight.

Beating up on the shell of that veteran doesn't add to a legacy.
Lomachenko is 29 years old and is currently 8-1; at the very least, depending on how his body holds up, Lomachenko has another 5 years in the sport.

When it comes time to tell the career retrospectives, the storytellers will be able to talk about how he avenged his first defeat and went on to have a great career (I don't think he ends up actually fighting Mikey Garcia or Robert Easter Jr, or a host of the top guys at 140lbs, but Top Rank will craft a career for him, and the shills will sell it).

I heard this 4 days ago? Is this really the first people are hearing of this? Damn I have to start making threads again lol. But, sadly, even after he beats Salidos ass from pillar to post his detractors will bring up the loss.

Great... I would love to see a rematch.. if it's a good fight, could possibly make a trilogy..

I like it when top guys rematch guys that have previously beaten them. Like Lennox rematching Rahman

Wtf is up with that anyways? I've noticed on "that site" that they always call it 'the scene'. Its like they are scared to mention the name.

you haven't been paying attention if you think salido is a shell of himself. he's just as good as ever he could have easily gotten the decision against martinez and vargas.

It would be good to reverse that loss. Even if Salido is getting old.

Might as well tie that loose end up.

I just watched the fight again a couple days ago. It was weird watching a guy with a size advantage almost exclusively attack his opponents balls for 12 rounds with very little concern from the ref
