Marriaga rocked badly by a vicious 4-5 punch combo to the head. Marriaga replies back with a huge body shot, Valdez backs off while Marriaga continues to come forward. Valdez boxing and moving very well.

    Valdez round.

Exactly what we expected, a good tough fight for both. Valdez has good d but still tends to throw looping shots which are telegraphed. Needs to keep them shorter.

4-1 Valdez. He's adjusted well but Marriaga is relentless

Valdez has him mostly figured out, can't miss with his left hook to the head although Marriaga can't miss with his left to the body.

Marriaga like prime Margarito but with better skills.

Close 6th rd, 4-2 Valdez. How will he handle the 2nd half of this fight?

Very good fight, very close too.

High level stuff by both guys.
