Even if I might be biased (I love Khurtsidze because he looks like an absurd sock, filled to the brim with walnuts), I still think he might have against BJS. If Khurtsidze makes 160 comfortably and Warren doesn't give him a vast ring to deal with he might prove uncomfortable for Saunders, even though objectively he's nowhere near as high-class. Would be wonderful to watch; nothing against BJS, just love seeing tiny boxers do their thing.
Am I alone in saying that Khurtidze reminds of Tua, not Tyson? Tyson wasn't that crude. It was fun watching Khurtidze trying to land those hooks and lifting himself up in the air following his own fist.
Now the fight I would like to see is Khurtidze - Curtis Stevens. Couldn't believe it, but Stevens is 3 inches higher than Khurtidze!!! For a change both guys would fight somebody close to their own heights.
If Saunders makes it to the GGG/Canelo payday it will be a miracle.
He might not make it.
Warren should have taken De La Hoya's offer and put BJS on the undercard of Canelo-Williams to build up a big fight between them. Dumb move to turn that down.
Khurtsidze is like a midget tank. He'll give most MWs problems, win or lose. Saunders should be able to handle him though, just so he boxes smart on the outside.
