The fight shouldn't count toward breaking Marciano's record even with Conor being a licensed pro boxer for the first time in his life. Conor is a great MMA fighter and not a pro boxer. The fight would be a mismatch and a circus act and it shouldn't count as a boxing win for Mayweather anymore than his win over that wrestler. Marciano only beat real pro boxers who were good boxers. Mayweather must do the same to break the record in my opinion.

I have no problem Floyd making that money fighting McGregor, but honestly this fight shouldn't be sanctioned you have a world class fighter at the highest level basically fighting a guy off the street who isn't even prospect level with 0 boxing fights. This should be a ppv exhibition but not sanctioned, hell the Dallas mavs tried to have publicity stunt by signing a football player to the team and the NBA stepped in and said hold on do your stunt but he can't actually play in an NBA game. What if McGregor who has no chance beating Floyd actually got hurt in this fight.

It would be a exhibition match so I don't think it would count

Rosado and all those real professional boxers who fought each other in BKB those wins were not recognized in their professional boxing records. In fairness that's what this should be Floyd McGregor make your money but it should not officially count for either guys record or sanctioned. In what other sport can you just jump the line and one day compete in a NBA, MLB, NFL, etc with no history in that sport let alone a combat sport where someone can be hurt.

This rubbish is all about two blokes lining their pockets. A defensive boxer who sways judges to win versus a counter puncher. Should be around 10 punches thrown per round. The only idiots are the ones paying for this crap.
