Despite what most people here thinks, i think that amateur boxing is important and i follow it as close as pro boxing.
So I'm quite sure that i have seen more footage of Shakur than anyone here.

Is that why the head of PBC Al Haymon used Schaefer to promote his PPVs with Floyd wearing the Mexican colors on his trunks? Is that why they always held those PPVs on the Mexican dates and picked as many Mexican opponents as possible (Ortiz, Guerrero, Baldomir, Marquez, Canelo, and so on)?

        Don't be naive...

Several very good fighters and so called boxing fans complaining. So called boxing fans are really casual fans.

How much pop do you think Shakur will have in the pro ranks based on what you've seen of him as an amateur? Is he more likely to be 15-0 (13) or 15-0 (7) in a couple years assuming standard TR matchmaking?

HBO budget cuts suck, but HBO is also in part to blame for the fall in ratings in both regular HBO & HBO PPV.

Promotional Companies must promote, especially PPV Events , they did zero zilch nada. I believe Valdez, Ramirez , Magdaleno are PPV Caliber fighters. If you put those guys in tough with the big names then you got yourself a successful PPV and an Epic show for the fans IMO.
              Example: Zurdo vs. GGG
              Garcia vs. Loma
              Valdez vs. Russell Jr.
              Crawford vs. Paquiao
              Magdaleno vs. Regondeiux

If you can pull off a card like that PPV will be booming again big time. Zurdo , Valdez & Magdaleno and Garcia have been calling those guys out, I think we can all agree those would be great matchups.

I agree with you on the fact that this card and the Crawford could yield similar numbers perhaps. I wish it the best though for the good of the sport, like I said I'm gonna buy the PPV view and have a great time watching the fights , and one can only keep l hope alive , that Bob Arum can deliver us those fights he and everyone else talks about.

Amateur boxing here in S. California is borderline corrupt . USA boxing officials are buddy buddy with certain coaches and gyms so 90% of the time they get win in advancing tournaments . PLUS the head of USA boxing here in So Cal ( Mr. Z ) is affiliated with a gym that has some good kids but seems to Always win in questionable decisions .

Yeah I think a bigger budget would help out this card and future cards for sure, let's just hope we get lucky and HBO can invest way more into the sport, cause boxing is getting this old-school feel again IMO. Their are lots of very talented fighters that are seeking to fight each other , plus great characters and rivalries forming. Also if Mayweather or CANELO or PACMan vs. Mcgregor happens and when they make Connor look like trash , Boxing will get a boost as well IMO.
