everyone says they're taller then they are so 6'1 1/2 is taller than you think. He was so lanky and fighting shorter guys too so that added to it.

Calzaghe was 6'1 before he was 5'11. Amir Khan was 5'10 before he was 5'8. Jermain Taylor was 6'1 before he was 5'11.

I think it's how they stand that makes a big difference. Williams doesn't slouch like many people do, so he will appear taller. Margarito slouches which helped Williams look like he towered over him. If you go through faceoffs you'll see not many boxers stand straight, it's just bad habit of people and it's normal. Williams wasn't one of those boxers, he showed every bit of his height due to the way he stands.

Yeah might be. He did give up his height in his fighting stance though, which I always found weird. Someone should have showed him how to better utilise his reach and size advantage against smaller opponents.

However, all of this brings up how exciting he could be and how much I miss him.

The thread itself is ridiculous, I'm not mocking Williams for his condition, it's the nature of the thread itself. I find it hypocritical that this poster came to William's defense but no one said a peep when Aaron Hernandez's suicide was joke fodder yesterday.
