Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Ready For Flanagan - or Move To 140 With Indongo

WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) is ready and willing to have a unification with WBO champion Terry Flanagan (33-0, 13 KOs) of the UK. Earlier this month, Flanagan retained his title with a hard-fought decision over Petr Petrov. Flanagan has a mandatory defense in front of him, against Felix Verdejo of Puerto Rico, but there is some confusion on whether or not the Puerto Rican contender is willing to fight Flanagan next. A unification with Garcia could trump a mandatory defense if approved by the WBO.

Mikey looking to cherry pick the worst titlist in every division from 126 to 147 without ever fighting anyone good. Same old Mikey as before his layoff. And of course the moment Arum pushed him to finally face someone with a pulse in Gamboa, that's when Mikey retired for 2 years and tried to get away from Arum. Mikey wants freedom all right... freedom to keep on ducking the best fighters without ever being pushed into a competitive matchup.

Can't believe Mikey can't get a fight with Lomachenko or Linares! Would love to see Mikey vs. Indongo, then the big one: Terence Crawford! Let's go!

Exactly!!!! Talks a big game until Loma says let's do it, then all of a sudden 140 is looking promising. Only thing is there is another monster under the bed at 140 too, so lil Mikey is trapped, lol.

But Linares is already unified WBA-WBC 135 titles and by decreed of the World Boxing Council M. Garcia has to solidify his WBC lightweight title otherwise you never were a champion at this weight, just like Dejan Zlaticanin was never champion in the fact that Linares was 'Diamond' champion ( yeah I laughed typing that. )

But anyways whooping on Flanagan sure would make my day and if 'El Chapo' jr moves that wouldn't be so bad considering 140 is trash right now....to bad Lucas move up to welter that would of been great too.
