  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Admits Anthony Joshua Could Be Forced To Drop IBF Belt

ANTHONY JOSHUA could knock out Wladimir Klitschko next week and still end up losing his IBF heavyweight crown. The London 2012 Olympic gold medallist takes on Klitschko at Wembley Stadium on April 29. He will defend his IBF belt for the third time while the vacant WBA/IBO straps will also be on the line.

Matchroom really should've pushed to take their IBF mandatory in December rather than that dumb Molina fight. Screwed up the division a little with titles floating around again and I can imagine Pulev will keep that title hostage fighting bums.

Really screwed up the division by taking on **** voluntaries. I just hope Pulev doesn't get that title.

Why is it possible to lose a belt, because he cant make two defenses at the same time? boxing is so ridiculous.

Unified champion should have unified mandatories. Let the #1 contender of each organisation fight each other.

Fine by me. Maybe if big name fighters keep dropping the IBF belt, they'll start to change the way they do mandatories. I know Pulev is a good mandatory and so is Spence but please no more Wades or Biziers, mandatories like that just waste everyone's time and holds up a fighters career.

I'm pretty sure the WBA belt is the one that will get stripped from Joshua.

I doubt Eddie Hearn will put Joshua in there with Luis Ortiz right after fighting Klitschko.

I'm pretty sure they will fight Pulev and then try for a unification fight with Parker, Wilder or even Ortiz.

          The sanctioning organizations are ridiculous.

F#ck the belts. There are too many belts to placate all these mfers running these corrupt groups. And if you do placate them you gotta fight too many poor opponents via mandatories that you gotta pass on better opposition.

They tried to fight Pulev in December, he didn't want it.

Kill 2 birds with one stone, Pulev/Ortiz for the IBF, bloody Takams in the way in the rankings though.

"His mandatory was due, he wouldn’t fight his mandatory and he lost the belt. " Sounds logical to me.

Not interested in defending against your mandatory then do not aspire to be a title holder.

Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Just wish all the organizations were more consistent in enforcing this rule.

Certain fighters will NEVER get a title shot if they are not the mandatory.
Ask Spence or Julius Indongo ..etc.

What the hell has Pulev done in the IBF's eyes to be this godly force that MUST be allowed to fight for the title with no exceptions? Beating the corpses of Sam Peter and Kingpin Johnson apparently goes a long way nowadays, or Pulev has serious dirt on the IBF that he's threatening to expose. lol
