Comments Thread For: Andre Berto: Nothing Can Hold Me Back Right Now

By Thomas Gerbasi - It was a moment many might have not even paid attention to, but for Andre Berto, it meant everything. Five years after a thrilling 2011 bout with Victor Ortiz, Berto finally got the opportunity to avenge his first and most bitter loss. But after getting knocked down in the second round at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, it was looking like dj vu all over again...

Its hard for me to imagine Berto keeping Porter off of him, especially if Shawn applies the same pressure he did with Thurman. But, Berto is the taller fighter, and he has an arsenal of punches and power to knock Shawn out. He has some viscous uppercuts and hooks. With all of Berto's abilities, speed and power, I always felt the need for him to get a trainer like Teddy Atlas to teach him that peek a boo style that Tyson used. I think that style would be very effective for him. He would be a serious threat for any welterweight with that style. He's just an average fighter at this point, but I hope he puts up a very competitive fight come Saturday.

Berto couldnt deal with Guerrero pressure so i give him a very small chance of dealing with porter
