Would Crawford beat Canelo

IMO Cotto and Canelo beats Crawford, heck they are even more proven.... Not even close.

sure they are more proven but the more proven guy has not always won in boxing history. there are other factors such as age, style, etc...that come in to play.

You are severly underrating Canelo's skill set.

ive seen canelo enough times against boxer types to know he doesnt do well. from trout, lara and floyd to earlier in his career against larry mosley. its something he never has figured out. crawford has seen all styles and done well to pick them apart after sometimes starting slow.

if canelo fought like ggg the yes he would probably break crawford down using his size but hes not a im going to use size to overpower you kind of fighter. hes a im going to land this pinpoint counter on you fighter which works against guys like liam smith, angulo and khan but those guys are not good boxers like crawford.


crawford who is around 5-10 judging by his pics with guys like prescott, burns, and dulrome would use his height and reach to make 5'7 at best canelo come to him and that would frustrate canelo like always. instead of being able to land his counters he would be forced to lead and keep walking into shots.

i think you are overrating his knockouts over glass chin bums kirkland and khan. guys who stood there with no defense. you really think floyd is that much bigger than crawford? crawford weighed 157 in the ring against postol so more than floyd when floyd schooled canelo and crawford is much taller than floyd on top of that.

Canelo was 19/20 when he fought Hatton. He's a completely different fighter at this stage; in terms of the physical side, skill side and mental side.

Mayweather had Canelo hesitant with his counter punching, defence and speed. Crawford isn't Mayweather level in any of those departments. Lara is also a better/more difficult opponent with more speed while also hitting harder than Crawford.

Crawford's legs got stiffened by a tiny, tired Gamboa. He holds his position well as the bigger man, see how long that lasts when he's not bigger guy.

Canelo mauls him. Wouldn't be remotely difficult.
