Deontay Wilder will announce something big!

Ahh ok. I've not heard anything about the fight being cancelled. It is worrying they haven't entered NZ.

But fighters often enter on fight week. Dillian Whyte is announcing his opponent today but it looks like Jennings.. so if it's not Whyte.. Not many other fighters who are free can be classed as a BIG announcement. Ortiz?

I'd normally agree but NZ occupies a pretty unique time zone - it's 11 hours ahead of the UK which is pretty much the worst possible transition. You'd want more than a week to adjust to that, particularly with the biggest fight of your career on the line.

The biggest worry is that drug testing for Fury doesn't start until he enters the country. So at 2 weeks out from the fight he hasn't even had a routine test.

Whatever Wilder's announcement I'm really hoping for a decent fight.

Yea you bring up a good point. He will extra time to accustom himself to the climate and time change.

Wilder's announcement is gonna happen next week so it may even happen post AJ vs Vlad fight at the stadium.. but maybe that's being too wishful.
