  • Comments Thread For: Porter: Mayweather's Way Worked vs. Berto, Will Try Some of It

Shawn Porter didn't suggest that he could fight like Floyd Mayweather Jr. Porter took note, however, of the way Mayweather beat Andre Berto so easily in the last bout before Mayweather retired in September 2015. While more of a brawler whose smothering style has worked well for him during an eight-year pro career, Porter plans to employ elements of what worked well for Mayweather during his victory over Berto when Porter (26-2-1, 16 KOs) opposes Berto (31-4, 24 KOs) on Saturday night.

porter just smother this dude and the fight is over. he has no chin, doesnt know how to hit the body and he doesnt know how to clinch and box on the inside. He has not idea how to fight when holding...no idea. its pretty pathetic actually.

Lol it's Berto, i don't think you need a master plan or take tips from Floyd or anyone else to beat him.
