Fact he barely cracked anyone's top 10 rankings at 130 BEFORE loma fought him and was ranked below salido in ESPN, RING, and every other respectable rankings. He was NOT considered a top 130 fighter. Beating him doesn't prove much. Russell and is not 130lber and Walters wasn't either already got exposed after moving up his success was at 126 plus he was coming off a long layoff. Those are good wins over 126lber. Loma has done squat at 130 and not faced any of the top guys like Corrales, Miura, Berchelt, Vargas, plus salido already beat him and he ducking that rematch. Broner fought the 2-2-1 Angel Rodriguez in his 9th fight, now just imagine if instead he fought Maidana.

Cruz and Frampton are the class of 126 loma didn't fight either. Rigo is the class of 122 and probably beats those guys and is p4p ranked and called him out loma didn't fight him either. He hasn't fought ANY of the top guys at 130 or avenged his salido loss. He hasn't cleaned out any division. Maybe he beats all these guys but I can't give him credit for fights he didn't make. I would favor him against these guys but hey I favored him over salido too and he lost.

I am not sure there is any love lost between Lomachenko and Kovalev. Russians and Ukrainians are long time enemies. At this moment Russia has a massive army on the Eukraine border and has armed rebels fighting in Ukraine to overthrow the Ukrainian government.

Erm, no. That region (Southern Ukraine) has Russian as a dominant language, but in terms of Pro-Russian sentiment, that's in a large minority. Eastern Ukraine is where the Pro-Russians are. Loma and many of these boxers just don't get caught up with politics, that doesn't mean they are Pro-Russian. Guys like him, Usyk and Gvozdyk come from areas with Russian influences and rep Ukraine a lot, just look at any of their social media accounts. Don't make inflammatory statements if you don't have good knowledge of the situation.

And Kovalev for example is friendly with them, he even wore a t shirt with the Ukrainian coat of arms in a recent gym picture with Loma.

Personally, I'd say I am against all that, what with the situation, but I understand it to an extent.

As the argument goes, sport and politics shouldn't be mixed.

Yep. Salido is just going to get more and more irrelevant. He has a single card to play, and it isn't as good a card as the other players around him have.

The longer he holds it, hoping that it will magically turn into some kind of ace, the less anyone will care about him.

He can take an offer now, get a better payday than he is used to, and get beaten like a man (instead of a fat cheater) and retire with some money in his pocket.

Or he can play his card all wrong, and retire without that nice retirement paycheck, and be forever known as the guy who cheated to get a win over a much better boxer.

It's funny though, how much the mexican's still love their cheaters. Salido and Margarito, Mexican heroes until the end.

Don't get me twisted, I still love watching Salido, but I would rather see him rematch Vargas, fight Miura, or Berchelt, just because I know what kind of fight it will be. I would like to see Lomachenkop vs. Garcia because I think it means more! I think that's a fight for P4P #1!

No problem. He is really good friends with kovalev and they both also share the same manager... Klitschkos are very educated and up to date on current events... Loma doesnt strike me as that type of person...
