Former two-division world champion Orlando Salido, 36-years-old, is hoping to get a rematch with Vasyl Lomachenko by the end of the year. As BoxingScene.com reported last week, Salido is going to break a near one year layoff on May 27 in Mexico, in a ten round bout against Amphon Suriyo. Salido (43-13-4, 30 KOs) has been out of the ring since going to a twelve round draw in a wild war with then WBC world champion Francisco Vargas in June 2016.

I doubt his adviser's sincerity here. I think he's trying to build-up Salido's comeback, put his name out there and get people excited about him again.

I don't think this rematch really is any good,i think lomachenko beats him,and especially now that salido is in mid 30's and his last 4 fights have been tough ones,especially the last 4,easy for lomachenko

It's ashame that he's even more shop worn and past prime. Prime Salido bullies Lomachenko to a wide UD. Shop worn Salido got a UD. This older, more shop worn, and rusty Salido will be a shell of himself. A win for Lomachenko in a rematch so far from when it should've happened will mean nothing. It's a cash grab fight for old man Salido before he retires.
