Williams was starting to really take it as early as the first round and you can see Colon wasn't really use to the aggression. But how could have been after facing mostly cannon fodder up to that point.

Also a lot of those punches on the back of the head came from Colon trying to avoid damage to the face by turning his head to blows and leaning in. Either way it was a pretty tragic night that cut a career way too short for us to ever find out.

Actually I might be over thinking it, Colon was still pretty young, 23, when he fought Williams and had lots of room to grow.

I just hope gets well enough to have a normal life, meet a woman, have some kids, and live a happy life.

I didn't see the fight, but in the clips that I saw (available in the link I provided in the previous post), several of Williams's rabbit punches were blatant fouls.

I think he had potential to be a top contender and maybe a title holder, I think he would've been able to make a couple of solid paydays down the line had he continued fighting, I think he could've been marketed very well and with careful matchmaking he might've ended up making good money.

I think at least half of the rabbit punches by Williams were fouls that should've been penalized, I also think when the ring doctor checked on him and Prichard told him he was dizzy after he got knocked down and got his legs wobbled by a rabbit punch that the doctor should've given him more time to recover or he should've just stopped the fight.

Saw a video last night about his current condition, really broke my heart, his condition is much worse than Gerald Mclellan's and I thought Gerald's was really bad, it's really one of these situation where putting the man to rest should be considered not only for his own good but also for his family.

I decided to watch the fight again to see if I remembered correctly and Williams was throwing a lot of blantant rabbit shots as early as round 1. He fought a reckless fight that night.

Yeah, even in the few clips in that ESPN video (don't know if you had a chance to watch it), Williams lands several blatant rabbit punches. For what it's worth, my feeling is that Prichard would've eventually succumbed to brain injury. The rabbit punches may have been the cause that night, but I think Prichard was on the road to personal tragedy. Another fight or two. Who knows? Just my opinion.
