Not sure fighting Provodnikov raised his awareness in the US much, if at all.

But that's a fair point, but Algeri was just one example. Pac fought several guys who were relative unknowns but had people lining up to fight them after and made some good coin.

If this guy goes 12, he'll do himself a huge favor.

With all that said, he could get KO'd quick. I wouldn't know, never seen the guy fight. This could be a Rod Salka fight for all we know.
